After a career combining engineering, consulting and international work, she joined Ifremer as oceanographic observation coordinator. Her job enables her to connect ocean enthusiasts around the world with each other. On a day-to-day basis, she develops scientific projects (sensors, data, artificial intelligence), sets up cooperation agreements between states, assists participatory science initiatives, etc.

While studying engineering at ENSTA Bretagne, Yoann discovered Artificial Intelligence and Robotics: two fields that sparked his interest and inspired him to pursue a PhD after obtaining his MSc in Engineering. Today, he works for a major bank, implementing methods based on artificial intelligence and providing teams with tools to facilitate their daily tasks.

Acting as a liaison between his company’s customers and its technical teams, Mathieu draws on his expertise in embedded systems to analyze customers’ needs, propose appropriate solutions, and support the company’s teams in implementing the proposed solutions.

A better understanding of the movements and behavior of cetaceans through their vocalizations: this is the focus of Mathilde’s thesis, which is based on passive acoustics, a non-intrusive technique.

The ocean covers 70.8% of the Earth’s surface: a vast space that is still poorly understood. The aim of Perrine’s thesis is to combine different types of ocean observation data (satellite images, buoys, boats, etc.) and use artificial intelligence to gain a better understanding of the underlying physical phenomena.

Hugo chose to combine his interest in mathematics with a better understanding of the environment. Currently a PhD student in the field of acoustic waves in the marine environment, he uses artificial intelligence to automatically define the origin of captured waves.

After graduating from the University Technology Institute of Electrical Engineering and Industrial IT in Brest, Mallory joined the ENSTA Bretagne's embedded systems apprenticeship programme. He is now working at 4MOD Technology in Nantes, a French company that designs, manufactures and sells infrared and Bluetooth remote controls and connected objects.
