The graduates attending were all given their degree certificate on stage and congratulated by the school’s Director, Bruno Gruselle, and the course directors. Tribute was paid to the valedictorians of each of the majors.
A number of prizes also rewarded student engagement in the community across various themes:
- "sustainability and social responsibility",
- "entrepreneurship, cohesion and leadership",
- "scientific and technical outreach"
- "IETA (Armaments Studies and Technology Engineer) award".
There were various partners at the ceremony to award these prizes:
- ENSTA Bretagne’s Alumni association, represented by Pierre Faucoup, President of the association and CEO of CILAS,
- Armaments Studies and Technology Engineers’ Association (CAIETA), represented by Philippe Jean, President,
- Defense, Procurement and Technology Agency (DGA), represented by the Chief Engineer, Armament Corps, Jérôme Perrin, Director of the “Naval Techniques” center of expertise
- and the Industrial Engineering Institute (ITII), represented by Jean-Alain Lozahic.
The cohort’s ‘godfather’, Antoine Bouvier, Head of Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions and Public Affairs Airbus, also spoke to the cohort about the purpose of their future professional commitments:
(…) You have been selected, and then educated, to become some of the best engineers of your generation. With such expectations comes great responsibility, not least that of promoting industry and technical expertise for the benefit of a better, safer world. (…) Your career is a collective adventure. (…) Learn from those who have come before you, but chart your own course.
The 2021 cohort at a glance
This represents 20 different degrees, 12 majors and 25 professional profiles in the mechanical sciences, information science & technology, marine science & technology and business science.
