Anne Diaz de Tuesta, CEO of the EIG Eurosam, sponsor of the 2026 cohort

As CEO of the EIG EUROSAM since September 1, 2023, after working as the company’s Programs Director (June 2021-August 2023), Anne Diaz de Tuesta has spent her whole career in the defense sector. 

During the sponsorship ceremony, she talked about her career and about EUROSAM: a grouping, bringing together MBDA France, MBDA Italy and Thales, which is the only European systems supplier capable of providing sovereign solutions in the strategic field of medium- and long-range air defense. 

At the end of her presentation, which covered her professional choices, experience and vision for defense and the associated industrial challenges, she unveiled the name chosen for the 2026 cohort: Evariste Galois, a 19th-century mathematician who led a particularly eventful life.   

The cohort sponsorship ceremony is an eagerly awaited event at the school. It is an opportunity for students to meet a prominent figure in the industrial sphere and to spend a day looking ahead to the everyday working lives of engineers, gaining an understanding of the key issues, challenges and opportunities to come for them.

Anne Diaz de Tuesta readily listened to and took questions from the students during the myriad discussions before and after the ceremony, and they very much appreciated this. It gave the future engineers the chance to share their own career plans and queries with their sponsor, forging a constructive relationship with her. 

The "Evariste Gallois" cohort thus sponsored will graduate in 2026. It will represent more than 300 engineers, master’s graduates and PhD students. The ceremony marks the start of their two years of specialization, a pivotal time in their transition towards the workplace.
