In order to understand and address maritime environmental and societal challenges, ENSTA Bretagne, with the support of ISBlue¹, has been leading the HOLI-D Blue² project from 2021 to 2024. The Blue Coop Day brings this training and research project to a close and offers an opportunity to reflect on the key role of cooperation in a systemic approach to the challenges of social-ecological transition (SET).
By combining experimentation and research, HOLI-D Blue2 has confirmed the need for systemic transformations: macro (institutions and their governance), meso (curricula, content and teaching methods) and micro (stakeholders and their interactions).
These considerations and this day also open the door to the new Blue Training Horizons program, which is dedicated to the development of a learning community of committed stakeholders ready to work together to bring about the transformations needed to meet the challenges of social-ecological transition in the maritime sector.
Cooperating for training, professional development and commitment to social-ecological transformations in the maritime sector
These systemic transformations require cooperation among all stakeholders in the maritime sector (educational institutions, companies, students, etc.): coordinated, collaborative action to meet the global challenges of social-ecological transition.
